Is there a free plan, or is it a trial?

A free plan, and you can stay on it. It carries a smaller AI allowance than the passes and everything else is unlimited on it: your profile, your resume PDFs, your portfolio site and your writing. No card to start, and nothing is charged without you choosing it.

What am I paying for, exactly?

Accepted Answer

How much AI you can run: job matching, resume tailoring, cover letters and multilingual export. That is the part that costs us money every time it runs, so that is the part a pass meters — and paid passes get priority on the models, with room to run the longer jobs. Your profile, your resume PDFs, your portfolio site and your writing are free on every plan, permanently, including the free one.

Why passes instead of a subscription?

Because job hunting comes in bursts. Most people apply hard for a week or two and then stop, and a subscription is the wrong instrument for that — anyone who has cancelled one in month two knows it. Every paid product here is a single payment for a fixed number of days: seven, fourteen or thirty. It expires on its own, there is nothing to cancel, and you are never billed for a month you didn't use.

Can I buy a second pass before the first one runs out?

Yes, and the days add on rather than replacing what's left — buy a week pass with three days remaining and you have ten. A second purchase also resets your allowances, because it is a second payment. The one thing we won't sell you is a smaller pass than the one you're on: it would swap a larger allowance for a smaller one, so the card says to come back when the current one ends.

What's the difference between a pass and the template unlock?

A pass is rented and the unlock is owned. A pass meters AI for a fixed number of days and then stops. The premium templates are a one-time purchase that never expires and never renews — we sell them outright because a portfolio is a link on a CV you already sent, and it must not stop working because a payment did.

What happens when I run out of my allowance?

The assistant keeps talking — an ordinary conversation isn't metered at all, because running out mid-thought is the worst possible moment to show somebody a paywall. The discrete generations (matching, tailoring, letters) pause until your allowance resets or you take a pass. Anything that failed or that you stopped is refunded to your allowance; you are never charged for a generation that produced nothing.

Who takes the payment, and do you store my card?

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record — they collect payment details, handle tax where it applies and issue receipts. We never see or store your card details. Prices are quoted here in one currency with a toggle, but the amount you are actually charged is set from your billing country at checkout, and taxes are added where the law requires them.

Do I need to cancel anything, and can I get a refund?

There is nothing to cancel. Nothing renews, no card is kept on file, and a pass simply stops on its expiry date — which is why there is no subscription portal in your settings. Because AI usage is consumed immediately and a template unlock is granted immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once used; that doesn't affect any statutory right you have, and if something has genuinely gone wrong, write to hi@resfolio.in and we'd rather sort it out than stand on a clause.

When my pass ends, does my portfolio come down?

Accepted Answer

No. A pass ending reduces how much AI you can run and nothing else. It never takes down a published portfolio or resume link, never removes a template you have already unlocked, and never touches your profile. You can export your whole profile as JSON, or any resume as a PDF, at any time.
