Is it actually free right now?

Yes. Everything is free while Resfolio is in beta — every plan allowance and both premium template sets — and nothing will ever be charged to you without asking first. The prices on this page are what plans will cost when billing starts, published now so nobody is surprised later.

What am I paying for, exactly?

Accepted Answer

How much AI you can run: job matching, resume tailoring, cover letters and multilingual export. That is the part that costs us money every time it runs, so that is the part a plan meters. Your profile, your resume PDFs, your portfolio site and your writing are free on every plan, permanently — including the free one.

Why a week pass instead of just a monthly plan?

Because job hunting comes in bursts. Most people apply hard for a fortnight and then stop, and a monthly subscription is the wrong instrument for that — anyone who has cancelled one in month two knows it. The pass is a single payment sized for the weeks you're actually sending applications. It expires on its own; there is nothing to cancel.

What's the difference between a plan and the template unlock?

A plan is rented and the unlock is owned. Plans meter AI and renew until you cancel. The premium templates are a one-time purchase that never expires and never renews — we sell them outright because a portfolio is a link on a CV you already sent, and it must not stop working because a card did. The yearly plan includes the unlock.

Question 5

What happens when I run out of my allowance?

The assistant keeps talking — shorter answers, but it never stops mid-conversation, because that is the worst possible moment to show somebody a paywall. The discrete generations (matching, tailoring, letters) pause until your allowance resets or you take a plan. Anything that failed or that you stopped is refunded to your allowance; you are never charged for a generation that produced nothing.

Question 6

Who takes the payment, and do you store my card?

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record — they collect payment details, handle tax where it applies and issue receipts. We never see or store your card details. Prices are quoted here in one currency with a toggle, but the amount you are actually charged is set from your billing country at checkout, and taxes are added where the law requires them.

Question 7

Can I cancel, and can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel a recurring plan at any time, from the customer portal linked in your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access in place until the end of the period you have already paid for; we don't pro-rate part of a period. Because AI usage is consumed immediately and a template unlock is granted immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once used — that doesn't affect any statutory right you have, and if something has genuinely gone wrong, write to hi@resfolio.in and we'd rather sort it out than stand on a clause.

Question 8

If I stop paying, does my portfolio come down?

Accepted Answer

No. Losing a plan reduces how much AI you can run and nothing else. It never takes down a published portfolio or resume link, never removes a template you have already unlocked, and never touches your profile. You can export your whole profile as JSON, or any resume as a PDF, at any time.
